In the early days of the Lam Dong Golden Tourism Week 2022, at the Fountain Area in Lam Vien Square, Dalat, the brand Dalat Newfarm with its Cordyceps militaris product, which parasitizes on the bodies of silkworm larvae in Dalat, continues to attract customers for exploration and purchase.
At the booth showcasing the Cordyceps militaris products parasitizing on the bodies of silkworm larvae at Lam Vien Square, Dalat, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tram, the director of the Dalat Newfarm brand, stated that the Cordyceps militaris product, cultivated and researched successfully by Dalat Newfarm, was officially introduced and distributed in the market in 2018.
Specifically, within a period of 3 to 4 months, Dalat Newfarm successfully cultivated the Cordyceps militaris embryos on the bodies of silkworm larvae in Dalat, nurturing them into mushroom plants that can reach a height of several tens of centimeters. These products have become valuable herbal materials characteristic of the highland region of Dalat, Lam Dong.
Currently, Dalat Newfarm harvests around 500 Cordyceps militaris products per day. It is expected that this yield will double when the new technological equipment chain at the DalaNewFarm farm in Danhim commune, Lac Duong district, officially starts operating at the end of 2022.
It is worth noting that the Cordyceps militaris product parasitizing on the bodies of silkworm larvae from Dalat Newfarm has been recognized as a 4-star OCOP (One Commune One Product) product of Lam Dong province. It has also been published in the International Journal of Medicinal Mushrooms, highlighting its various uses such as supporting the treatment of cancer, kidney, lung, liver, cardiovascular diseases, HIV/AIDS, sexual dysfunction and decline, enhancing the immune system, and reducing cholesterol levels in the blood.
